If it ever came down to picking my desire or my family's desire. I would pick the one that has the better out come.  I love my family and I know that they want what is best for me, but my mother raised me to be independent and think for myself. Being independent some times means having to go against your own family, Because  what they sometimes want for me isn't what I want.  Whatever I choose is going to have a consequence good or bad, but my family will still be there to support me no matter what.  

I wouldn't go against them all the time though. I will go with their desire some times. I'm not completely selfish. I will agree with them over my education or when I am allowed to get a job, but not over my personal life. Unless it is something they have more experience on or have good points on. 

Introducing Me

Hello there I'm Jocelyn Compean, I'm  going to start blogging on here for my english class. Well to start this off  I am a junior in High School and I live in San Antonio, Texas. I have a family of  7, my mother and father, my 3 sisters, and my 2 brothers. I am in the first generation of  hispanics, in my family, born here in the United States. My mother and father are both immigrants from Mexico.
I am a very creative person but I can also be kinda lazy. I love to play volley ball, soccer, and I love to act. I am currently in Theater at my school,Theater is very fun. To me it's a place to let my emotions out and be some one I always dreamed of being. It's a place where no one can tell me to stop singing, specially during the time we rehearse for the school musical. I hope to stay in it till senior year.
I am a very, very shy person. I will not talk to many people unless i am forced to. If I ever do make friends with somoe one it is  because they want to be friends with me, and talk too me first. That is how i met my best friend and my boyfriend.
